One of the greatest stories I’ve heard in recent memory is the one about Wayfair…

Have you heard of this company?

It’s a huge home goods e-commerce site here in the US. They’re like Amazon for furnishing and all things for your house…

Anyway. The reason Wayfair’s story is so fascinating to me is that on its surface... it appears they came out of nowhere. An overnight success...

But when you peek at behind the scenes… and understand their background of how they actually got here…

You find one of the best examples of Profit Activator One mastery out there.

They started out as a tiny company selling bar stools. They built the website for it, allbarstools.com, and all they focused on was to make that profitable.

After allbarstools.com became sustainable, they moved on to the next tiny niche - grandfather clocks. They built the website for it, everygrandfatherclock.com, and again… all they focused on was to make it profitable and sustainable.

After that, they moved on again, to yet another tiny niche. Then on to another one. And another one. And so on. You get the idea…

In other words, what they were doing is, they were attacking the whole home goods and furnishing space by really dominating each individual niche in that market - at a time.

And before you know it, they had an empire of 270 individual e-commerce sites, each of them very niche specific… and each of them making them money. In total, they were making hundreds of millions in sales.

So they decide to get venture-funded, combine everything…

And boom, now they’re Wayfair. An overnight success that came out of nowhere… and is dominating the space with millions of customers.

People now look at it and say, “I want to be like Wayfair and sell everything…”

But what they don’t realize is you can’t launch a fully mature Wayfair. Just like you can’t launch a fully mature Amazon… or a fully mature anything.

All you can do is to select a single target market, make that one profitable and sustainable…

… and then, niche by niche, build your empire.
