There’s a great book I recommend everyone should read…
But it’s especially beneficial if you have any kind of coaching business.
The book is called “The 4 C's Formula”. And it's written by my friend Dan Sullivan, the founder of Strategic Coach.
In it, Dan talks about how to achieve success in life. And he lays out four stages (the four C’s) you need to go through if you want to make your future bigger than your past.
The first C is the Commitment: In order to achieve anything, you first need to commit to your goal. As simple as that.
The second C stands for Courage: Once you commit to your goal, you need to then find the courage to actually do it.
Big goals are scary. So you’ll need a lot of courage to overcome your fear. But it’s not enough to just *"think your fear away.” As Dan puts it, "*There's a difference between fear and courage. Fear is peeing your pants, and courage is doing what you need to do, with wet pants."
Fear is peeing your pants, and courage is doing what you need to do, with wet pants.
Next, the third C stands for Capability. Once you take that courage, and you're doing the thing you've committed to... that then gives you a new capability. And the more you do it, the better you become at it.
Which leads you to the last, fourth C - Confidence. Which simply means, the better you are at something, the more your confidence grows.
Now, here’s why I’m telling you this...
If you’re a coach, you need to understand that your clients go through those four stages in exactly the same way. In fact, they pay you money to help them go through those four C’s.
Or, to put it simply…
People don’t pay you money for your 90-day course or program. They pay you for their transformation.
So the closer you model your program to the four stages laid out in Dan’s book, the better you’ll be able to get your clients’ results.
