This year, it’s been six years since I’ve started my Breakthrough Blueprint event...
And it all came from a conversation I had with my friend, Dan Sullivan, the founder of Strategic Coach.
Dan was talking about Unique Ability and what struck me was the way he articulated it. Because it's the first time I heard him phrase it that way...
He said, “Your unique ability is the thing that would keep you motivated and fascinated for the next 25 years.”
Immediately, I thought, you know what I really love? I really love applying the 8 Profit Activators to all kinds of different businesses. And I like doing it in a small group... in an intimate kind of setting... where there’s one conversation at a time and you can see the whites of everybody's eyes. I just never get tired of that because it's never the same twice.
The moment I got off the phone with Dan, I called the Celebration hotel in Florida. I booked the boardroom, I sent out an email to my list inviting the first group… and six weeks later, the Breakthrough Blueprint event was on.
And I’ve been doing them ever since. Nine of these events a year.
Now, the great thing about all of that is…

See, the 8 Profit Activators are universally present. They're a context. It was valid 30 years ago and it's going to be valid 30 years from now.
But what changes is all the opportunities that we have to apply them to.

The truth is, one of the most undervalued business and life purposes is having constancy. Committing yourself to do what most excites you for the next 25 years. Over and over. Year after year.
It sounds counter intuitive, yes...
But it’s this kind of consistency that creates longevity.
