You’ve heard me raving about syndication many times before. And for good reason...
You see, syndication is one of those things where you do the work once, and then reap the fruits of your labor for many years to come.
There are several ways to go about syndicating. However, the simplest way to start is to look at all the other relationships your ideal client already has and figure out a way you could add value to them.
In other words, look for ways you could be the hero to the people your ideal client is already working with. Because that’s where you’ll find the greatest leverage.
For example…
Say you’re running a carpet and flooring business. And one of your core offers is installing new carpets for people who are selling their homes, need new carpets done but can’t afford to do it right now. And so, what you do is, you help them get the carpet installed in advance... but let them pay you from the proceeds of closing the sale on their house.
A really compelling offer. No doubt about that. But here’s the thing…
Finding the prospect who needs this done on your own is probably way harder than it needs to be. First, not every house on the market has a carpet. And second, even the houses that do have carpets installed, only a small percentage of them need a new carpet done. Plus, the owners might not even be aware of the bad state of their carpets...
And so, how do you compel that prospect to raise their hand?
Here’s how: Simply go to the source - to their realtor.
And when you think about it... The realtor already has a relationship with your prospect. Which means they (your prospect) already know, like and trust them.
But, more importantly, the realtor has seen your prospect’s house. In other words, the realtor knows the state of your prospect’s carpet (if they have one) and… they also know if getting a new one would increase the value of the house. And if that’s the case, by suggesting your service… will make the realtor look good.
So now...
Not only you’re helping your ideal prospects who can’t afford new carpets… but you’ve also become the carpet guy who helps realtors grow their business!
