Five-star prospects

Whenever I send out a 9-word email, the only person I’m trying to reach is my 5-star prospect.

There are five things that need to be true if someone is a 5-star prospect...

Number one: They’re willing to engage in a dialogue. Which means, when you send them an email, they will respond.

Number two: They’re friendly and cooperative. This simply means that when you talk to them (through email), they’re open and friendly and keep the conversation going.

Number three: They know what they want, and they’re willing to share it with you.

In other words, this is somebody who admits they want something, who knows they have a need and an interest. And they’ve decided they’re going to do something about it.

Which leads me to number four: They know when they’re going to do it.

It could be they’re ready to do it right now. Or, it could be they’re ready to do it in 6 months. It doesn’t matter. Because you’re still going to be in business 6 months down the road.

And last but not least…

Number five: They want you to help them.

Now, here’s the important part…

Your 9-word email starts the process of finding out who are your 5-star prospects. But it will take 2 or 3 or 4 email exchanges before you can determine if that’s the case. You can’t force it and do it all in one shot...

For somebody to qualify to be your 5-star prospect, they need to meet all five criteria I mentioned above. In the same order listed above...

And you can uncover those 5 points only through conversation. One by one, in a progressive way.

That’s why you don’t hedge your message. And you don't hesitate in your message…

You’re not worried about bothering people who are not interested right now.

The only thing you’re concerned about is to find out who, among your subscribers, is your 5-star prospect - right now…

And is ready to take the next step with you.
