Everybody loves to focus on how to get more leads…

But, before you start adding new people to your list… what’s really important is to set the context around what you do... how you’re going to communicate to your prospects about it, and how easy you’re going to make them to start working with you….

And the reason that’s important is two-fold. First, it will force you to get into the rhythm of sending out your flagship content… weekly, monthly, bi-monthly… and so on…

And second, you’ll create something your prospects will look forward to.

For example, I do a weekly podcast. Every Sunday there’s a brand new episode of More Cheese Less Whiskers. Everybody knows when it’s coming. And everyone looks forward to it. I created the rhythm... and the content of the podcast sets the tone for everything I get to do around that.

I choose the podcast as my flagship communication because I like to talk. But you don’t have to…

If writing comes naturally to you, and you like to write… you can start sending out a weekly newsletter instead. Or a monthly report packaged as a PDF with a nice cover. Or, if you’re a natural on camera, you can start recording weekly videos...

The point is, it doesn't matter what format you pick. The important thing is that you start doing it regularly.

Because what you're really doing is…

You’re creating the opportunity to stay in contact with people on a regular basis… and bring them valuable information…. specific things that have an educational value.

And by doing so, you’re going to elevate their interest for what you’ve got… and it will motivate them to take the next step towards working with you.
