I coined a phrase the other day…
And it goes like this: Focus on getting three-mile famous.
What I mean by that is…
When you have a brick-and-mortar business like a fitness studio, dentistry, a bakery shop, and so on… The reality of every one of your clients, and potential clients, is within a three-mile radius of where you are.
That’s why, before you plan to conquer the world, your number one mission should be to get famous in that local, confined area. And make everyone who falls into your chosen avatar know your name.
And here’s the thing…
With Facebook, getting three-mile famous couldn’t get any easier.
People think Facebook is great if you want to reach people globally. And it’s true. But it’s even more powerful when you use Facebook to reach your prospects locally.
And I’m not just talking about Facebook ads.
Where Facebook really shines is…
Reality shows.
Think about it...
It takes nothing to start recording real-time updates of what’s going on in your, say, fitness studio. All you need is your smartphone.
And when you combine these live videos with the ability to select an audience within your local three-mile radius…
This fact alone could mean a big difference to your business. Just imagine if 20, 30, or 50 new people in your area knowing that you were available.
Just imagine if 20, 30, or 50 new people in your area knowing that you were available.
And the way to ask them to raise their hand?
Simple. You could sign off your reality show with an invite to come try your free class… or come get a free coffee… or whatever.
Because what you’re really trying to do is to start a relationship with a new prospect. And people appreciate when you’re giving them something of value for free.
Plus, it’s a no-strings-attached, “come see for yourself” demonstration.
The way I look at it… and you heard me say this a million times…
It's often easier to get somebody a result than it is to convince them to give you money to get the result.
