I’ve got great news for you...
I’ve hatched an evil scheme for your best Christmas promotion ever.
And since it’s only 10 weeks till it’s Christmas again… I want to get this into your hands before it’s too late.
You’re gonna love it, I promise you. But first, a little bit of context…
When you think about Christmas, what’s the most frustrating thing that comes to mind?
For most people, it’s buying that perfect gift for someone they care about... and getting stuck with all the gifts they don’t want or need.
So this set me off thinking...
What if there’s a way for you to get your prospects what they REALLY want… and, at the same time... make it super easy for whoever is buying the gift for them?
What if you could become the advocate for both, the gift buyer and the gift receiver?
Turns out, you can… and my evil scheme will show you how.
Ready?
First, go through your inventory and gather all the products you’re currently selling. Make a list of everything... from that $7 ebook… right up to the $3700 ticket seminar.
Next, make a selection of your very best items. All those things that your ideal prospect would really, really want. And don’t pick just the expensive ones. Make sure you’re crossing various price ranges.
Once you have your “very best of” products gathered… place them all into a nice PDF… and call it…
The Christmas Wish Book.
Keep it simple. But do make sure that every item has a big picture, a little bit of copy, and clear instructions on where to go to buy it and (very important!) how to get a gift card for it.
Now for the fun part. What you’re going to do next is… you’re going to send a short email to your list of subscribers.
Put “Christmas” in the subject line and the following text in the email body:
"Hey Lane, I figured out a really cool way for you to get exactly what you want for Christmas this year. Click here, Dean"
"_Hey Lane, I figured out a really cool way for you to get exactly what you want for Christmas this year.
This email does two things. First, because the subject line is charged neutral, it’s more likely your subscribers are going to open it. And second, the short message makes them curious enough to click through.
When they click the link, they’re going to land on a page you prepare beforehand. And the only purpose of it is to compel them to download your Christmas Wish Book.
Here’s what you say on the landing page:
“You're going to love this. I figured out a really cool way to get exactly what you want for Christmas this year... and I put together a Christmas wish book with all of the best things that we have.
Here's what you do… Download this book by clicking here. Then get yourself a Sharpie and a highlighter, print it out, circle the things that you want, and leave it around your house so that anybody that might be thinking about what to get you for Christmas is going to 'discover' it.
I've made it super easy on the page. They'll know exactly where to go to get a gift card for you to make that come true. Just click on that link, download it right there, and you're good to go."
And that's it. Your best Christmas promotion ever is ready to roll ;)
If you're comfortable you can record a video for the landing page... whatever’s easier for you. The important thing is that you do it.
And let me know how it goes!
