I have a little trick to share with you today.
Not too long ago Google launched a new tool called News Alerts. This tool allows you to specify keywords and let Google search 4,500 continuously updated news sources and deliver them directly to your email inbox.
I've been using this tool for a while now and it gives me a great excuse to stay in touch with people.
Here's an example of how I use it. Because of a conversation that Dean and I had this summer I know that he likes to talk about Starbucks shares. So, I would go to www.google.com/news and click the News Alerts button on the lower left corner.
I would then type in Starbucks, enter how often I want to receive updates and then my email address.
I would then receive News updates relating to Starbucks as they become available. How cool!
If there's an article that I think Dean might enjoy I could write him a message that goes something like this.
