Here’s a little “secret”…

When it comes to business, all the money is in scaling. It’s in exploiting, maximizing, and optimizing results you get from everything you’ve figured out.

But here’s the thing, if you’re an entrepreneur that’s a huge problem...

Because your unique ability is in coming up with ideas. You thrive when you're cracking the code… when you’re creating scale ready algorithms. You don’t have the ability nor interest in a disciplined execution.

And I know that because I’m just like you!

So here’s what I do: I surround myself with people who can execute. And enjoy doing it.

In a way, it’s like being a songwriter or music producer. You write songs. You create and produce hits. But it’s the artist who then takes your song, scales it, and brings it to the rest of the world...

Have you ever heard of Max Martin?

Most people don’t know who he is. But Max is one of the top three most successful songwriters in the history of modern music.

First is Paul McCartney, then there’s John Lennon, and then… it’s Max Martin.

In fact, he’s written almost every hit song that you’ve heard on the radio in the past 20 years. Ace of Base, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake…

What Max did is he's cracked the code of writing hit songs. He sits in his studio in Sweden, writes a song, and hands it to the artist. But it’s the artist that goes on tour for 18 months, promotes it on every radio station out there, and brings it to the world. Martin has no interest in that…

And that’s exactly how you should look at what you do…

If you really like the intellectual exercise of figuring things out… but you’re getting bogged down by the execution of it… you need to surround yourself with artists. Meaning, people who have the ability to scale the songs you write. Just like Max Martin did…

The difference is, Max happened to choose to write pop songs.

But you can decide to write any kind of songs you want: Business songs, marketing songs, email songs, funnel songs… you name it.
