Forget the CRS -- Become a CWS

I'm always amazed at how much time Realtors invest in getting designations like CRS, FRI, CRB and all kinds of other alphabet designations.

I question whether they're ever worth the investment in time and money it takes to get them.

A lot of Realtors I meet wear their designations as a badge of honor. Proof they are truly "superior" to non-CRS agents.

The truth is that NOBODY even knows what the heck it means. Not any of your clients anyway.

I'd like to propose a new designation.

I'd like to call it the CWS -- Certified WOW! Specialist.

Getting this designation requires NO classes, NO written exam, and there's no formal curriculum (yet).

What it requires is 20 hours spent thinking from the customer's point of view and inventing ways to WOW! them at different times in your Customer Experience Timeline.

Here's how it starts:

Draw a horizontal line on a clean piece of paper and on the left end...write the word "LEAD"... at the other the word "Client"

Now think about everything that happens in your current process to move someone from LEAD to CLIENT.

Think about it from their point of view, and identify what would be a WOW! experience.

One WOW! I can think of is a phone call or email sent to them immediately when the lead comes in. If you can "catch" them still on your website...THAT would be a wow!

When you talk with them and decide they're a 5-Star prospect and 2 days later they get a really impressive package of information by mail, and a nice hand-written note from you....THAT would be a Wow!

Keep going.

What would have to happen between the time they get the initial package and the 3,4,5,6 months or more they're "incubating"?

Really think about the experiences people are having as they go through the process of buying, selling, or getting a mortgage.

20 hours.

Can't fail to return a HUGE dividend.

Graduation? Someone actually says "Wow!" -- and you smile for just a second remembering THIS moment.
