Apparently Google is out "pushing" their Content Search program. You may be getting an email from them that says,
Greetings from Google AdWords:
We notice you have chosen not to show your AdWords ads on the Google content network. Because we want to help you make the most of your advertising dollars, we'd like to tell you about some exciting new content network features, including content bids and site exclusion. We want you to rejoin us as a content network advertiser.
Here's my thoughts on this -- **You are already using Google. **
They're trying to get you turn on the "content search" feature because it would make them more money -- because of more clicks.
For you, however, it's better to have content search turned off, because those clicks could be coming from someone searching -- overland park weather.
They're not necessarily interested in real estate in overland park... but if they see your ad, they may click, because they're curious as to how much real estate in overland park is going for... Now, you might think that hey, it's better to have more clicks -- but remember that they have to leave us their name and email before they can access any information -- which means that if they're not that serious, they'll either leave without signing in, or they'll use false information - like [email protected]
We prefer to advertise to people who are actually intentionally searching for real estate in your market - so we use the "google search network". Hence, you'll find that all of your keywords will have a combination of the market area with a real estate or mortgage-related term. *i.e. overland park real estate - *which in turn gets you more people signing into your website - because, hey! it's information they're interested in -- and a name and email is a small price to pay, to get the information they really want.
Just my 2 cents. Sony
