Put a pen in your hand.
Take out a blank piece of paper.
And at the top, write down one specific thing you want to think about.
That simple act does something remarkable.
It instructs your mind to focus on only that thing.
As I’ve been going through Journal Number Three, I’ve noticed hundreds of pages built around this idea.
Some are dialogues with myself.
Others are storyboards where I would map out an entire customer experience, one stage at a time.
On page 111, I was creating what I called the Seven-Phase Buyer Wow Cycle.
I started with someone looking for a home and followed them through every phase of the journey:
Finding them.
Educating them.
Meeting with them.
Looking at homes.
Negotiating an offer.
Removing conditions.
Closing and moving in.
Each phase became its own little thinking container.

What is the person experiencing right now?
Where might they feel confused, nervous, or uncertain?
How could I remove friction?
How could I create a “wow”?
Once you isolate each stage, you can begin turning those answers into actual processes.
A daily update during the conditional period.
A clearly explained next step.
A home inspection already arranged.
A simple checklist so the buyer always knows what is happening.
This is essentially what the 8 Profit Activators became: a storyboard of the complete relationship between a business and a customer.
And looking back, I realized what a powerful tool storyboards are for focusing attention and activating my imagination.
