Well, I'm just starting to come to life again.
It was BAD for the last 4 days.
There are a lot of doctors in my little neighborhood, and one of them stopped by last night. He was joking that in
his 36 years of experience as a doctor, he was sure of one thing about colds -- if you start treating it IMMEDIATELY it will be gone in 7 days, but If you don't treat it, it will last a WEEK.
The bottom line is always the basics. Lots of rest, plenty of liquid, chicken soup...and patience.
What's on my mind as I'm coming out of these last few days is the overwhelming response to Sony's message regarding Virtual Assistants.
I'm just observing this and wondering for most, if this is looking for a shortcut.
I think virtual assistants are great, and I'm going to make an effort to talk with the people in our group who are using VA's successfully, so I can develop a success formula for us.
My fear is that people are looking at this as an opportunity to delegate the Connection Process.
I'm not convinced yet that that's the very best thing. I think I would look at using a VA as an opportunity to delegate ALL the non-essential things that can be handled remotely, so I could create the time to make those calls.
On the hierarchy of HIGH-YEILD Activities...making first contact with a 5-Start Prospect is pretty high up there.
I would use the VA to help "mangage" the 7-step connection process, so every day they would email me a printout of the call attempts I need to make, and I'd let them do the emails and keep track of everything, but I would want to make those calls I think.
I'd carry that list around with me and make it a point to try to connect with them throughout the day, instead of just at the pre-assigned time I have in my daytimer for "follow-up".
Anyway...this may be fever-induced-rambling, but it's what I believe to be best.
