How Valuable Is What You're Doing All Day?

Dean Jackson 1 min read

There's a great discussion going on inside the Dashboard Light about Virtual Assistants, and the merits thereof.

I posted my hierarchy of Valuable Activities in there, but I wanted to bring it out front...

Here's my basic hierarchy of hyper-valuable activities.

  1. Negotiating a new contract.

  2. Meeting with clients to discuss preparing a contract.

  3. Showing homes to someone who is ready to buy.

  4. Following up and making appointments with the NEXT prospect who is ready to go.

  5. Connecting with NEW prospects to find 5-Star Prospects.

EVERYTHING ELSE is a lesser priority to me.

Managing escrows, handling paperwork, making showing appointments, ALL of it...is LESS important than those top 5 activities, and arguably, everything other than those 5 can be done by someone else.

THAT is what you should be using a VA or Local Assistant for -- To get rid of those LESS valuable activities that rob you of the time to focus on the MORE valuable activities.

If you're hiring Buyer Agents...ditto.

THEY should be focussing on those 5 Activities. The MONEY MAKING activities...and assistants can do the rest.
